JR East Hotels will sell a limited number of 15 Galette des Rois, a traditional French pastry meaning “king’s pastry,” at Hotel New Grand (10 Yamashita-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) from January 3 to 7, 2025. The price is 4,212 yen.

The pie crust is filled with almond cream and baked. The surface of the crust is decorated with a laurel leaf, which means “victory,” in a pattern called “leihe.
A ceramic charm called a “fave” is hidden in a piece of candy, and it is said that the person in the cut piece will be blessed as a king or princess, and happiness will last for a year.
