Jetstar Japan renewed its uniforms on November 28 after 12 years of wearing them since the start of its service.
The new uniforms are based on two colors, orange and dark blue, “inspired by the sunrise and sunset seen from an aircraft window,” and incorporate linen and cotton for the fabric to give the uniforms a light feel and ease of movement.
Instead of the existing segregation of men’s and women’s wear, the “Stellar Collection” and “Horizon Collection” are worn by flight attendants and ground staff, and the “Pilot Collection” is worn by flight attendants.
The Stellar Collection, as the name suggests, boldly incorporates “star-shaped” prints, with stellar orange lines on dark blue blouses and dresses. The Horizon Collection, on the other hand, also features dark blue shirts and polo shirts, but in darker shades and classic shapes.
In both cases, the jackets to be combined were of light linen, and the orange jacket in particular was a lighter shade than the old uniform, giving the impression of a design that was frankly vivacious and active, but also friendly.
