On December 3, ANA launched flights between Haneda and Milan, Italy. Originally scheduled to begin service in April 2020, the flight was postponed after the Corona disaster, and now the long-awaited date has arrived. Departure is from the international area of Terminal 2 with a 215-seat Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
This is the first time for ANA to operate a scheduled flight from Haneda to Milan (it once operated a flight from Kansai International Airport and re-launched it after 25 years), and it is also the only direct route between Japan and Italy among Japanese carriers. The company plans to open the similarly postponed Haneda-Stockholm route on January 31, 2025, and the Haneda-Istanbul route on February 12, 2025.
