Solare Hotels and Resorts will open Warm Snow Sapporo (2-1-1 Minami 6-jo Higashi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido) in April 2025.
This is the second hotel in the “Fifth Season Hotels” series, which designs hotel stays to enhance the unique charm of each region by designating the climate of each region as the “fifth season”. The fifth season at Warm Snow Sapporo is the period between winter and spring. The theme of the fifth season in Sapporo is from winter to spring, with a sense of anticipation as the harsh cold eases and the weather warms up, and the vitality and beauty found in that season.
The facility is a renovation of an existing hotel, taking advantage of Hokkaido’s unique features. Dai Matsuo, who has produced numerous sauna facilities, and Kentaro Imai, a public bathhouse designer, have teamed up to produce a sauna and a large bath where guests can feel the nature of Hokkaido. The hotel is said to offer an exquisite “totoi experience” in a hot spring space that combines design and functionality.
In addition, Hokkaido-based photographer Kage Maeda’s snow-themed works are on display in the hotel and in each guest room. A delicate and tasteful work by plaster craftsman Hajisuke Noda hangs in the reception area.
The lounge is equipped with drinks, a beverage bar, and snacks to enjoy at any time of the day. Various types of rooms are also available depending on the purpose of the trip and the number of guests. The rooms with private sauna are said to offer the ultimate sauna experience with self-laulu and water bath with chiller.
