On January 6, JR West announced that the sightseeing train “Haname-noren,” which had been suspended due to the Noto Peninsula earthquake of 2024, will resume service on March 7. The train will be operated as a special train for groups only, so seats will not be available for sale to the general public.
Bride’s Goodwill is a sightseeing train that connects Kanazawa and Wakura Onsen on the Nanao Line. All two cars are designed in the image of Wajima lacquerware and Kaga Yuzen, traditional Hokuriku crafts, and the first car has eight semi-private rooms.
On March 7, a travel product from Kansai by Nippon Travel Agency, and on March 8, a chartered train tour by JR East View Tourism & Sales in conjunction with the special group train “Tsunagaru Hokuriku: 10th and 1st Anniversary of the Opening of Hokuriku” departing from Ueno. Applications are accepted through the dedicated dials and websites of each travel agency.
On the first day of operation, a departure ceremony (for related parties) will be held at Kanazawa Station and a welcome reception will be held at Wakuraonsen Station to commemorate the resumption of operation. Tour participants on March 7-8 will also receive a commemorative gift from attendants.
