Hotel Metropolitan “Suica’s Penguin Valentine’s Day Cake” reservations begin January 14. New design with the image of a present.

Posted on 2025-01-082025-02-11 by Editor in Chief

Hotel Metropolitan (1-6-1 Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo) will start taking reservations for “Suica’s Penguin Valentine Cake” on January 14 at 12:00 pm in limited quantities. The price is 6,000 yen, and reservations will be accepted through the official website and JRE MALL.

The cake measures 13 x 18 x 10 cm, and for 2025, the design has been redesigned, decorated with ribbons that resemble gifts and heart-shaped chocolates that convey feelings. The main body consists of two layers of rose-flavored berry jelly and lychee bavarois with the texture of raspberries, wrapped in bitter chocolate mousse and glazed with raspberry-based chocolate.

In the upper tier, a ruby chocolate heart-shaped mousse with raspberry coulis is placed, and in the center of the mousse is a Suica penguin and a baby penguin holding a rose flower together.

The cake is decorated with fresh strawberries, raspberries, and chocolate hearts, and while it has a lovely pink design, the taste is less sweet with bitter chocolate and lychee, giving it a crisp finish with a hint of rose flavor.

Cakes will be delivered from 12:00 to 19:00 each day from February 8 to 14 at the Cake & Bakery Shop on the 1st floor of the hotel.
