Hotel Metropolitan (1-6-1 Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo) will hold a “Strawberry Sweets Buffet” on March 8 and 9, featuring a limited menu of Suica’s Penguin.
The theme for March is strawberries, which are in season. About 20 kinds of hotel-made sweets such as cakes, tarts, forêt noirs, Paris-Brest, canelés, fruit gratins, freshly squeezed strawberry Mont Blanc, and churros will be served.
The buffet’s lineup of sweets featuring “Suica penguins” includes a buffet-only menu that is not normally available at the hotel’s cake store. The popular macarons will be offered in a new taste with orange-flavored tea cream and strawberry confiture sandwiched in between, and a “mini strawberry parfait” with a Suica penguin and baby penguin peeking out will be offered to each guest.
In addition, there will be all-you-can-eat sandwiches, soups, salads, and other snacks as much as you like. One drink (strawberry mocktail) is included for adults.
The buffet venue is the banquet hall “Sakura” on the 4th floor. Reservations will be accepted at 12:00 p.m. on February 5 on the official website.
