Japan Airport Terminal (JAT) has notified the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) of a change in the maximum fees for domestic passenger handling facilities at Haneda Airport. The new fees will be effective for flights departing on April 1.
The Facility Usage Fee, which covers the use of common facilities such as the passenger terminal lobby and gate lounge, will increase from 370 yen to 450 yen for adults and from 180 yen to 220 yen for children (ages 3 to 12).
The company attributed the price increase to the construction of the north satellite connection of the main Terminal 2 building, seismic strengthening of elevators and escalators, and facility improvements such as the installation of AI smart air conditioning and LED lighting, as well as variable fixed and operating expenses due to the installation of additional automated mobility and digital signage.
In addition, the Terminal 1 North Satellite, currently under construction, is scheduled to be put into service in the summer of 206, and since this will have a significant impact on the cost of facility usage fees, we plan to apply again to the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for approval to change the ceiling on facility usage fees.
