Background and Objectives

JICA launched the JICA Clean City Initiative (JCCI) in 2022 to prioritize policies and infrastructure development in the field of environmental management in developing regions and to realize “clean cities” in urban areas of developing countries. The 4th international seminar will be held in February 2025.

Contents

This seminar aims to share the image of JCCI’s realization with the people concerned, and invites various stakeholders such as governments of developing countries, development assistance organizations, and Japanese local governments and ministries to share examples and experiences of JICA’s activities in each country and region, as well as to widely introduce advanced technologies (environmental pollution control and climate change countermeasures) that utilize Japan’s DX/innovation, etc., to the world. JICA’s advanced technologies (environmental pollution control and climate change countermeasures) utilizing Japan’s DX/innovations will be widely disseminated to the world.

In addition, for future collaboration and networking, there will be opportunities (pitch events, online exhibits, etc.) to introduce outstanding Japanese products and technologies related to environmental management and climate change.
