JR East View Tourism & Sales has released a special group train tour to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of Atami Station. The tour will be held on March 25. The company offers two plans, an overnight stay plan and a day trip plan, both planned by Atami Station employees, and both include original commemorative goods such as a “hot spring towel” featuring the train ticket.
For the overnight plan, a high-grade E655 Series “Nagomi” train will be chartered for an elegant trip, and for the one-day plan, the E259 Series, which is usually used for the Narita Express, will be used.
On the night of the tour, visitors can watch the Atami Station 100th Anniversary Fireworks Festival, a special program of Atami’s famous Atami Marine Fireworks Festival, which is held throughout the year.
