On January 23, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the planned site (6-3-5 Minatomachi, Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture) for the APA Hotel Matsuyama Ekimae (tentative name), which will open in summer 2026.
The Matsuyama Ekimae location is the first directly managed hotel in Shikoku and the sixth hotel following Takamatsu Airport, Marugame Ekimae Odori, Takamatsu Kawaramachi, Tokushima Ekimae, and Matsuyama Josai.
Access is a 3-minute walk from Matsuyama-shi Station (North Exit) on the Iyo Railway Takahama Line, Yokogawara Line, and Kounaka Line. The location is close to the bus line terminal and convenient for sightseeing at Matsuyama Castle and Dogo Onsen.
The 11-story building has 211 guest rooms, including deluxe twin rooms, barrier-free rooms, and S-S Connect twin rooms that can be connected to adjacent single rooms.
