Kansai Airport announced the grand opening on March 27 of Kansai International Airport Terminal 1, which is currently undergoing renovation.
KIX has been undergoing large-scale renovation work in phases for the first time since its opening in 1994, expanding international flight capacity and creating a commercial area with four different atmospheres. The grand opening will be celebrated with the completion of construction of the terminal’s main functions, including a new immigration checkpoint that will make immigration procedures smoother and a new international lounge.
