Kawasaki Tsurumi Rinko Bus to raise fares on March 18 for the first time in 27 years. Commuter passes remain unchanged.

Posted on 2025-02-092025-03-25 by Editor in Chief

Kawasaki Tsurumi Rinko Bus will revise its regular and fixed passenger fares on March 18.

Normal passenger fares (on the flat fare sections within Kawasaki City and Yokohama City) will be revised from 220 yen to 240 yen for adults and from 110 yen to 120 yen for children, for both cash and IC fares. Fares for Tokyo metropolitan area routes will remain unchanged.

The commuter pass fares (commuter pass for all Rinko Bus routes) will change from 9,900 yen to 10,800 yen for a one-month pass, from 28,220 yen to 30,780 yen for a three-month pass, and from 53,460 yen to 58,320 yen for a six-month pass. There will be no change in commuter and child commuter fares.

The fare revision is due to the renewal of bus fleets and operating facilities, soaring prices for fuel and other commodities, and rising transportation costs caused by the increase in the number of drivers and other factors. Excluding those caused by the consumption tax revision, this is the first fare increase in about 27 years since September 1997.
