Ikaros Publishing Co. has released “Central Japan International Airport Centrair 20th Anniversary Book,” an A4-size, 160-page book priced at 1,870 yen.
The Central Japan International Airport Centrair opened in 2005. Its construction methods that shortened the construction period and reduced costs, its open observation deck, and its entertainment-oriented commercial facilities have become the talk of the town.
Over the past 20 years, the airport has continued to evolve, opening a facility to display the first Boeing 787 and earning a “5 Star Airport” rating, the highest in the world, from SKYTRAX.
This book condenses Centrair’s “present, past, and future” into one volume. It will include many testimonies and photographs that will be nostalgic for those who knew Centrair when it first opened and new discoveries for those who have used the port recently. The book also includes a discussion of Centrair’s future prospects and behind-the-scenes moments captured by a photographer with a connection to the area.
