Keio Corporation and Sanrio Entertainment will renew the Sanrio character wrapping train that has been in operation since 2018 and will begin service on March 10.

The new wrapping train (one 9000 Series train) will be designed in chic and subdued shades of dark blue and gold to match the decoration of Keio Tama Center Station, and will feature Sanrio characters including Hello Kitty, the Tama Center Goodwill Ambassador, in Keio Dentetsu uniforms. Visitors can enjoy the cute world of Sanrio.

From March 10 to April 21, this wrapping train will be operated with an original headmark featuring a silhouette of Sanrio Puroland and the message “Let’s go on Keio Line! message.

Prior to the start of service, an unveiling of the wrapped train will be held on March 8 at Keio Electric Railway’s Wakabadai rail yard. The “Train Photo Session” (from 12:00) is open to the first 50 people, and the “Photo Session with Sanrio Characters” (from 13:50 and 15:30), in which Kitty and Cinnamoroll come to visit, is open to the first 30 people for each session. The fee is 8,000 yen per person. The application period is from 1:00 p.m. on February 21 to 11:59 p.m. on March 3. For details, please check the official page.
