The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Grant Agreement (G/A) with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on March 3 for the Livelihood Improvement Program in Reception Areas for Returnees and IDPs (UNHCR Partnership).

This project will contribute to the sustainable and self-reliant development of Afghanistan by improving the livelihoods of returnees, internally displaced persons, and host communities by providing facilities and equipment that will contribute to strengthening their economic activities, mainly in the border areas.
