On March 20, UNIQLO will open the UNIQLO Tamataka Store, a large-scale, community-based store, on the fourth floor of the South Building of the Tamagawa Takashimaya S.C. (3-17-1 Tamagawa, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo).
On one floor, one of the largest in the Setagaya area (approximately 780 tsubo), the store offers a wide variety of fashion items for women, men, children, and babies, and has a specialty store-like sales floor where the features and functionality of each product category are easy to understand.
The store also aims to create a high quality store that is unique to the Tamataka store, with a wide aisle in the kids and baby section for easy access by strollers, and a lounge-like space inside the store where customers can take a break between purchases.
In addition to spring outing fashion and business items to prepare for a new life, items of note include the latest “Uniqlo U” collection to go on sale on the same day, “UTme!” T-shirts and tote bags (¥1,990 each) created in collaboration with companies and organizations associated with the Tamataka area and Setagaya Ward, and an American T-shirts and tote bags (1,990 yen each), and a limited-edition collaboration with the West Coast-born brand “Ron Herman”, including an AIRISM cotton crew-neck T-shirt (men’s 1,990 yen/kids’ 990 yen).
Also, from March 20 to 23, a bouquet of “UNIQLO FLOWER” flowers will be presented with an “original Ron Herman x UNIQLO bandana” as a novelty to celebrate the opening.
From March 24 to 30, a “Round Ultra Mini Bag,” a 3-way version of the round mini shoulder bag that is popular worldwide, will be given away. Both novelties are available to customers who spend 10,000 yen or more at Tamataka stores.
In addition, from March 20 to 23, baumkuchen from the community-favorite gluten-free cafe “Tamakuchen” will be packaged in original packages and distributed to customers on a first-come, first-served basis every day (total of 4,000 items).
