On March 10, Anchor Japan released a special page with information on disaster preparedness and power supply.
It was released in response to the results of the “Survey on Disaster Preparedness” conducted for the March 11 “Day for Raising Disaster Awareness,” which showed that approximately 80% of respondents were not adequately prepared for disasters, and includes the results of the survey and information on how to prepare for electric power.
According to the survey, about 90% of respondents said they need electricity for disaster preparedness, while only about 40% actually have portable power sources or storage batteries.
The top disaster preparedness item respondents wanted to prepare in the future was “emergency food and drinking water” at 68.7%, followed by “portable power source/storage battery/mobile battery” at 66.6%.
