JR East Cross Station Retail Company will release two types of collaborative products between Suica penguins and local companies on March 15 to commemorate the expansion of Suica stations in Nagano Prefecture. Both products are available in limited quantities and will be handled at NewDays, NewDays Mini, and NewDays KIOSK in Nagano Prefecture.

Suica’s Penguin Yuzu Shichimi Can: A collaboration product with Nemoto Hachimanya Isogoro, a long-established shichimi store that has been in business for 289 years. The yuzu shichimi uses aromatic Japanese yuzu peel, and the package features an illustration of the “Suica penguin” enjoying the highlands of Nagano Prefecture. Price: 880 yen

Ingredients: Chili pepper (Chinese, Japanese), yuzu (Japanese citron), Chen peel, black sesame seeds, white sesame seeds, shiso, sansho (Japanese pepper), ginger (contains sesame seeds in some cases)
