On March 14, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the three NEXCO companies announced that they will begin accepting applications for the Commuter Pass social experiment to be conducted on expressways in six prefectures in Japan (Hokkaido, Niigata, Ishikawa, Yamanashi, Kagawa, and Nagasaki) from March 17, at 2 pm.
The content of the social experiment remains unchanged from FY2024, with a maximum of five discounts for designated sections regardless of the day of the week or time of day, and is available for mini cars and regular cars equipped with ETC. If you apply for the discount by specifying the type of car and the section in advance, the discount will be applied to up to three trips per day for one month from the beginning of the month to the end of the month.
The program will run from April 1 to September 30.
