The Japan Branch of the Hawaii Tourism Authority will co-host the “HAWAI’I EXPO 2025 x Ke Au Hou Festival” event with the Ke Au Hou Festival, a hula competition, at the Yoyogi National Stadium 2nd Gymnasium (2-1-1 Jinnan, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) on May 10-11. The event will be held at Yoyogi National Stadium No. 2 (2-1-1 Jinnan, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) from May 10 to 11.
The event allows visitors to experience Hawaiian culture through hula and Hawaiian stage performances, seminars, workshops, booth exhibits, and sales of Hawaiian products. There will also be a food area where visitors can enjoy Hawaiian food culture.
The Ke Au Hou Festival is the only hula competition in Japan organized and supervised by Kumu Hula of Hawaii, and this event is open to the general public.
This year’s event theme is “Beautiful Hawai’i,” and the event symbol is the “Pua Kalaunu,” a flower loved by Queen Liliuokalani, the last king of the Kingdom of Hawai’i.
