Hotel Kanazawa (1-1 Horikawa Shinmachi, Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture) has put on sale an overnight stay plan that includes a “Gorgeous Bluefin Tuna Gozen,” a dinner that allows guests to simultaneously enjoy the seasonal delicacies of Kanazawa and its high-end fish, bluefin tuna. Prices start at 18,200 yen per person per night with two meals. The plan is available from May 1 to November 6 for check-in. Reservations can be made through the official website or by phone.
Dinner is served at “DINING TSUZUMI” restaurant on the first floor. The main dish, “grilled nodoguro (sea bream) with salt,” is a whole fish carefully grilled to condense the flavor, making the skin crispy and the meat soft and fluffy.
The “Nodoguro Majo Toji-maki” is a deep-fried nodoguro wrapped in yuba, while the “Nodoguro no Kamameshi” is a grilled fillet of tuna topped with a hearty portion of nodoguro and served with your choice of condiments and sesame dashi broth chazuke to finish.
The menu also includes sashimi of fresh fish caught in the surrounding seas, Kanazawa’s local delicacy “Jibe-ni (duck stew),” and carefully selected seasonal Kaga vegetables.
