Sado City, Sado Kisen, and NEXCO East Japan Niigata Branch will renew the Dorawari “Sado Island Golden Pass” and Sado Kisen “Sado Island Golden Plan” set plan and begin sales on April 1. The fare is 10,000 yen for a standard car and 8,000 yen for a mini-car, etc.
This special product is available for a limited time starting in 2023 for standard cars, mini cars, and other ETC vehicles. The package includes the “Sado Island Golden Pass,” which allows unlimited rides on the expressway between the Tokyo metropolitan area and the ports of Niigata and Naoetsu for up to four days at a fixed fare, and the “Sado Island Golden Plan,” which includes round-trip car ferry fare and lodging at 21 facilities on Sado Island.
The renewal includes a new plan without overnight stay on Sado Island to commemorate the World Heritage registration of the “Gold Mine of Sado Island”. The plan can now be combined with day trips and accommodations not covered by the plan.
In addition, while the sales period used to be from April to November, the plan without overnight stay is now available all year round. However, the plan is not available during busy periods such as GW, Obon, Silver Week, year-end and New Year holidays, and three-day weekends. The plan with overnight stay is available until November 22.

Applications for the Sado Island Golden Pass will be accepted on NEXCO East Japan’s website “Dora Wari” from March 25, 2012. For Sado Kisen (Sado Island Golden Plan), a separate application must be made via the link provided on the DRAWARI application completion screen/email.
