In response to the earthquake damage in the central part of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, an International Emergency Relief (JDR) medical team dispatched by JICA under the order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs departed from Japan for the area on April 2.
This medical team consists of 32 medical personnel and JICA staff, including 5 advance team members who departed on March 30. In the field, the team will focus on medical activities of the World Health Organization (WHO) Emergency Medical Treatment Team (EMT) Type 1 (clinic level).
