Information security,” the theme of this issue, refers to efforts to ensure equal access to necessary information for all people, including those with visual, hearing, and other disabilities. It is becoming increasingly important in a variety of situations, such as meetings, training, business communication, and providing information in times of disaster, and is also attracting attention in the fields of international cooperation and welfare. Have you ever had the experience of feeling “I don’t know how to respond” in situations where information security is required?
The purpose of this study session is to deepen understanding of the specific situation of information security required in various workplaces in Japan and abroad, as well as the barriers faced by persons with disabilities and how to resolve them.
