JR West and JR West Daily Service Net announced the number of additional “Expo 2025 Osaka/Kansai Commemorative ICOCA” ICOCA sets, including the “Expo 2025 Commemorative ICOCA + Synthetic Leather Pass Case” set, and the schedule for their arrival.
After the opening of the event, which was limited to 3,000 sets, an additional 30,000 sets will be sold (announced on June 4). The initial 3,000 sets are expected to be sold out by mid-June, and the additional sets are scheduled to arrive in August or later. To avoid confusion, the details of the quantity and date of arrival were not disclosed.
The price remains the same: 3,200 yen per set (including 500 yen for the SF charge and 500 yen for the deposit). The payment method is cashless payment only, of which the ICOCA portion of 1,000 yen can only be paid by credit card or electronic money (QR code payment is not accepted).
The sales outlet is the “Official Store West Gate Branch JR West Japan Group Official Store at Expo ‘2025 Osaka-Kansai”, a souvenir store located within the Expo site. An online store is also available for visitors only (from the time of visit to 6:59 p.m. the following day), but goods with Expo commemorative ICOCA are not available online.
Of the store’s six types (eight items) of merchandise with ICOCA commemorating the Expo, the glass photo/card frame set is sold out, while the other merchandise is available in limited quantities. A dedicated waiting line may be set up when entering the store.
Please confirm details, such as the limit on the number of items to be purchased, at the store.
