The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Grant Agreement (G/A) with the government of the Kingdom of Tonga for the “Faamotu International Airport Development Project” in Nuku’alofa, the capital of the Kingdom of Tonga, on August 19.

Business Objectives
This project will expand and renovate the existing international passenger terminal building at Faaamotu International Airport in Nuku’alofa, the capital city of Nuku’alofa, and improve its ancillary facilities to improve the convenience of the airport and thereby contribute to strengthening the industrial base.

Facilities] Expansion and renovation of the international passenger terminal building, expansion of the international apron, installation of a boarding bridge and connecting walkway, installation of a roof over the road in front of the terminal, and other incidental facilities

Detailed design, bidding assistance, construction and procurement supervision
Soft Components provides technical guidance for maintenance and management of steel structures.
