Yokohama City Subway to Revise Schedule on November 1. Increased trains on Blue Line for morning rush, elimination of simultaneous arrivals and departures on upper and lower lines, etc.

Posted on 2025-09-182025-09-22 by Editor in Chief

The Yokohama Municipal Transportation Bureau will implement a timetable revision on the municipal subway on November 1.

On the Blue Line, from around 7:30 to 8:30 on weekday mornings, the interval between regular trains will be reduced from 4 minutes 40 seconds to 4 minutes 30 seconds. In order to reduce congestion on platforms, etc., the simultaneous arrival and departure of upper and lower trains will be eliminated at major stations.

On the Green Line, six-car trains will be deployed on the up (Hiyoshi direction) trains on weekday mornings between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. (based on Hiyoshi Honmachi Station departure), the busiest time of the day. The last train on weekdays departing from Hiyoshi Station bound for Center Kita Station will be bound for Nakayama Station after the revision.

In addition, some trains on both lines will have their schedules and destinations changed. In conjunction with this revision, the timetables posted on the platforms will be replaced with two-dimensional code information.
