The Disney Store announced the addition of nine new cities to host the “Disney Flagship Tokyo Japan Tour,” which will tour for about a year starting in October. The four cities announced this time are Okinawa, Tokyo, Miyazaki, and Aichi. This will be the first time for Okinawa to host a Disney Store.
This tour is a shopping event that incorporates content from the Disney Store’s flagship store, Disney Flagship Tokyo, where visitors can purchase popular items, local designs, and exclusive items. Visitors can enjoy shopping at the venue decorated with a Mickey Mouse statue dressed as “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.”
To coincide with this announcement, new venue-exclusive items have been added to the lineup, making it the largest selection ever. The lineup includes a pocketable tote bag (3,800 yen) and stainless steel bottle (2,800 yen) with a “Mickey Mouse Club” design motif, a plush Urupocha doll in a new red striped costume (1,800 yen), a plush key chain (2,800 yen), and 12 other items in total. The company also offers a plushie key chain (2,800 yen) and a total of 12 other items.
The lineup also continues to feature local designs, which are popular items at the event. At the Tokyo venue (Haneda Airport), in addition to items featuring Mickey and Minnie in pilot and cabin attendant-style outfits, a pilot-style Donald Duck “Uru-Po-Chan Plushie” (1,800 yen) will be available. The design is limited to airports and can be purchased from Disney Store vending machines in each terminal.
At the Tokyo venue, an original Disney Store Christmas tree will be decorated to coincide with the event, which will be held on December 9.
