Impress will release the mook “Nengajo DVD-ROM 2026” on October 7, in A4 format, 256 pages, priced at 1,870 yen.
The 2026 edition of the “original” title of the Nengajo material series, which has been published annually for more than 30 years, includes a special opening project: the “Myakmyak Nengajo,” the official character of the Osaka Kansai Expo, the “Versailles Rose Nengajo,” which was also the subject of an animated film, and a “Japanese Horse Nengajo” featuring a native Japanese horse to celebrate the year of the horse, noon. The “Japanese horse New Year’s greeting card” features a native Japanese horse in commemoration of the year of the horse.
Also included is “Addressee Craftsman MOOK Version 24,” a Windows 11/10 compatible New Year’s card software, and five sheets of paper for trial printing. The text also introduces a tool for making New Year’s cards with a smartphone.
In addition, “Hayawake New Year’s Cards 2026” and “Let’s Make New Year’s Cards & Original Goods with Photos: Photo Nenga 2026” also contain “Myakmyak New Year’s Cards” with different designs.
