Zoff, the eyeglass brand operated by Intermestic, will launch Zoff’s first pair of glasses made from recycled plastic, “See Blue #14,” and from June 10, the first pair of sunglasses collaborated with outdoor brand KAVU, exclusively through Zoff’s official online store. The brand will release a limited edition of 200 pairs of sunglasses.
See Blue #14″ is the first sustainable eyeglasses from the See Blue Project. It was developed in collaboration with a company and an environmental organization in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture. The frames are made of recycled plastic material from plastic bottles washed ashore in Wakasa Bay, Fukui Prefecture, and from plastic bottles collected as municipal waste. The 3D fit temples are designed to gently wrap around the head for a comfortable fit.
A classical design was adopted and simple coloring was used. With a design that is easy to use in everyday life, the new models can be enjoyed as a contribution to environmental issues and a fashion statement at the same time. Also, models with natural motifs such as wood grain, water patterns, and leaf patterns on the temples will be available. A total of 18 types are available in six models, each in three colors. The price is 8,800 yen, or 11,100 yen including a set of lenses.
The sunglasses, the first collaboration with KAVU, are made of recycled plastic for the frames and bio-plastic lenses made of biodegradable material that can be returned to the soil. The sunglasses come with an original sakosh case. The price is 11,100 yen.
