NEXCO East Japan will reopen the Sano SA (downhill) on the Tohoku Expressway as “Dramatic Area Sano (downhill)” on July 13. This is part of the “Sano Park SA” concept, in which the upper and lower service areas are developed as a single “park,” and only the commercial facilities and restrooms will be available for use ahead of the others.
The restrooms have already been made barrier-free and parking lot availability signs have been installed, and the commercial facilities will be remodeled as a “dramatic area” at the time of the reopening. In addition, the path will be changed so that visitors can use the gas station after using the commercial facilities and restrooms.
