JR East and JR East Sports will conduct a demonstration experiment from June 20 to September 9 to add “Train’ing Outside the Train” to “‘TRAIN’ing+”, a training application exclusively for the Yamanote Line. The “In-train Training” function, which has already been implemented, will provide an individualized in-train training plan based on the section of the train used by each user.
In the “Train Outside Training” program, participants walk for one station while visiting historical sites, parks, and other spots selected by employees. After checking in near the station, participants follow the guidance of the app to the goal. Two types of walks are available: a “quick walk” of 5 to 30 minutes between stations, and a “discovery walk” of 15 to 60 minutes.
