Moomin Valley Park (327-6 Miyazawa, Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture), operated by Moomin Story, will hold the summer-only event “Sea of Clouds in the Moomin Valley” from July 16 to September 25, where visitors can enjoy the fantastic world in the mist.
A cloud sea mist periodically sprays around the Moomin Mansion, the symbol of the park, and “gnoronoro” (gnomish) are attracted to the mist. Visitors can cool off in the cool mist in front of the mysterious sight. Meanwhile, “Mr. Hemren’s Amusement Park” in the “Osabishiyama” area offers a water playground for children. Visitors can enjoy the “Water Fountain,” where water spurts out from the ground, and the “Rain Forest,” where mist pours down from the forest.
In conjunction with this event, “SUMMER ART FESTIVAL” will be held from July 16 to August 28. The indoor exhibition facility “COCHEMS” will be the venue for art experiences, workshops, and other events. More details will be released on the official website as they become available.
Limited-edition goods will also be available to coincide with the event. At the Moomin Valley Shop, one of the world’s largest stores offering Moomin goods, “Silicon Umbrella Marker Gyoronjoro” (550 yen), “Wiggle Plushie Gyoronjoro” (1980 yen) and other items that can be enjoyed together with “Sea of Clouds in the Moomin Valley” will be available.
