JAL will launch a new style of in-flight meal service, “SKY DELI by JAL,” in Economy Class on the Haneda – Gimpo (Seoul) route, which will resume service on June 30.
In response to passengers’ requests for easy-to-eat, delicious in-flight meals on short flights, a casual yet rich cafe-style meal has been developed. Instead of conventional tray delivery, the meals will be served in compact paper bags, allowing passengers to take their meals at their leisure and freely use the table space.
The first menu item is a donut sandwich created in collaboration with “DEAN & DELUCA,” a grocery store originating in New York. The donut sandwich, one of the store’s standard items, has been arranged to be easy to eat in-flight while maintaining its sweet and savory taste and satisfying texture. The side menu includes Calbee’s “POTATO For You,” which is sold exclusively at airports in Japan. The crispy texture of deep-fried Hokkaido potatoes can be enjoyed. JAL’s original coffee “JAL CAFELINES” will also be served.
