On July 12, the Japan Tourism Agency revised the “New Travel Etiquette,” a set of infection prevention measures for travelers. Based on the “Approach to Mask Wear” presented by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare on May 20, the illustration for wearing masks outdoors has been revised.
The previous version used an illustration of a person wearing a mask outdoors, but the MHLW guidelines state that it is not necessary to wear a mask outdoors if a physical distance (2 m or more) can be maintained, and these details have been reflected in the illustrations used.
The same revisions will be made to the videos that have been made available to the public as well.
