Onna Koshin has begun accepting reservations for Goto Retreat ray (2877 Kamisakiyama-cho, Goto City, Nagasaki Prefecture), which will open on August 30, 2012. The company is also offering a special plan during the pre-opening period, August 9-28, with a 10% discount on lodging.
Goto Retreat Ray” is a luxury hotel with a total of 26 ocean-view rooms with open-air baths. It is located on a hill overlooking the lava coast, which is said to have been formed when Onidake, the symbol of Goto, erupted 3 million years ago, and is easily accessible from Goto Tsubaki Airport in 10 minutes by car.
Designed by Yukio Hashimoto, who also designed “The Peninsula Tokyo,” the hotel features beautiful views from every corner of the building based on the concept of “incorporating into the building the view of the sea and sky stretching out before your eyes. The hotel also features a dining room where guests can enjoy not only fresh seafood, but also island foods such as “Goto Beef” raised on mineral-rich grass.
The special plans for the pre-opening period are Ocean View Open-air Deluxe (70m2) from 61,380 yen per person (based on double occupancy) and Ocean View Open-air Superior (58m2) from 51,480 yen per person (based on double occupancy), both including one night and two meals. Reservations can be made through the official reservation page.
