Hotel Nara Sakurai no Sato (2220-1 Oaza Takaya, Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture), jointly operated by Hirakawa Shoji and Aska Biso, began accepting reservations for lodging prior to its opening on September 3.
The hotel is also a facility that serves as a seminar house affiliated with the Nara International University for Food and Agriculture Creation (NAFIC). Visitors can experience the traditions and food culture handed down from their predecessors by tasting seasonal Yamato vegetables and local brand-name ingredients and learning about agricultural efforts. The café-restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner (reservations required) using Nara’s famous ingredients, and the special products corner sells food, wooden products, and handicrafts.
There are 10 deluxe twin rooms (40m2/maximum 3 persons), 10 twin rooms (30m2/maximum 2 persons), and 20 single rooms (15m2/maximum 1 person). The grounds are also equipped with an outdoor tent sauna and rest area for guests to enjoy a stay in the satoyama surrounded by rich nature.
