Choice Hotels Japan will open “Comfort Hotel Yokkaichi” in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture, on December 14.

The hotel, based on the concept of “Your Sustainable Journey: Creating the Future,” is located about a one-minute walk from Kintetsu Yokkaichi Station. It has 149 guest rooms. It is located at 5-3 Hamada-cho, Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture.

Guest rooms feature art panels made of Banko-yaki, traditional Yokkaichi pottery, and furniture made of thinned wood from Mie Prefecture (in some rooms only). Bench sofas and movable desks are available. Some rooms are equipped with a bathroom with a separate washing area and a balcony overlooking Yokkaichi. In addition, all rooms are equipped with the original “Choice Pillow” pillow for a good night’s sleep and the newly developed original bed of the Serta brand.

The Comfort Library Cafe, which guests can use free of charge, has more than 300 books selected by a professional book director, mainly related to Mie, Yokkaichi, and travel, and free drinks such as coffee and tea. The bookshelves in the cafe are made of thinned wood from Mie Prefecture. In addition, for the free breakfast served at Comfort Library Cafe, a locally produced and consumed menu using ingredients from Mie Prefecture has been introduced.
