In Cameroon, under the jurisdiction of the headquarters of Cameroon Radio and Television (CRTV), the national broadcaster, the TV station operates a news channel and other channels that broadcast sports and culture. CRTV has also started digital terrestrial broadcasting on a trial basis in the urban areas of Yaoundé and Douala, and is planning to expand the number of channels to five in the future, aiming to improve the quality and increase the number of broadcast programs. However, all of the existing equipment for program production is aging due to deterioration over time, limiting the number of programs that can be produced. In addition, only one of the six mobile news-gathering rigs in its fleet is in operation, hampering outdoor news filming. This cooperation aims to improve the programming capacity of the Cameroonian national TV station by providing it with TV production and editing equipment, as well as TV programming software for Japanese sports, culture, and education, thereby contributing to the improvement of basic social services and quality for the people of Cameroon, and to the promotion of understanding of Japan. The project will contribute to the improvement of basic social services and quality of services to the people of Japan and to the promotion of understanding of Japan.
