Two facilities, “Risonare Osaka,” which will make its first appearance in western Japan in December, and “OMO Kansai Airport by Hoshino Resort” in the winter of 2023. Both facilities will be a new approach to lodging as a Hoshino Resort.

On September 14, Hoshino Resort announced the opening of two new hotels in Osaka Prefecture.

First expansion into western Japan. Resort Hotel “Resonare Osaka” to Nurture Children’s Creativity

On December 16, “Resonare Osaka” will open for the first time in western Japan inside Hyatt Regency Osaka.

The “Resonare Osaka” is the sixth facility under the Hoshino Resort’s Resonare brand, and the first in western Japan. The four floors of the Hyatt Regency Osaka in Nanko, Osaka, operated by HRO, a subsidiary of Hoshino Resort, will be newly renovated to become the “Resonare Osaka,” a collaboration hotel that will house two brands, “Hyatt Regency Osaka” and “Resonare Osaka,” within a single facility. The hotel will be operated as a collaboration of two hotel brands, Hyatt Regency Osaka and Resonare Osaka, in one facility.

This is a new approach in the company’s hotel operations to date, targeting two different clientele in one building in order to efficiently increase occupancy rates. The hotel will be operated jointly with Hyatt Regency Osaka.

A total of 64 guest rooms with Risonnale specifications are available on the 23rd, 24th, and 26th floors of the lodging building, with rates starting at 18,000 yen per night. The Atelier is available for children 12 years old and younger, and a 15,000 yen accommodation fee will be charged in addition to the room rate.

Hyatt Regency Osaka will provide room service and food and beverage, while Resonare Osaka will offer exclusive activities for Resonare Osaka guests. Guests will also have access to Hyatt Regency Osaka’s club lounge, restaurants, fitness center, garden pool, and other ancillary facilities.

The Risonare brand has so far been expanded to five locations in Hokkaido, Tochigi, Yamanashi, Shizuoka, and Okinawa prefectures, with themes based on regional characteristics, a wide variety of activities in the facilities, services for adults-only time, and activities for children to have fun and grow up.

The newly opened Risonale Osaka will adopt the concept of “playing with creativity” and adopt the Reggio Emilia Approach, one of the first advanced early childhood education in Italy. The hotel aims to provide new value as a resort hotel that nurtures children’s creativity.

The activities offered at the facility are designed to provide children with a variety of experiences and open up new possibilities for them. The Reggio Emilia Approach, which is highly regarded as an educational approach that draws out creativity, will be the core of the facility, and one of the largest “ateliers” in Japan will be available to spark children’s interest and play in a variety of expressive ways.

The “Atelier,” to be located on the top floor of the 28th floor, is a space with colorful pallets stacked on top of each other, themed on Osaka Nanko (South Port), a logistics hub. The Atelier has four areas: “Interest,” “Exploration,” “Expression,” and “Reflection,” providing a mechanism to draw out children’s creativity.

A total of 64 rooms of 10 types are available. Three of the 64 rooms are concept rooms called “Atelier Rooms,” where the walls are decorated with various motifs based on the color red. The rooms are designed to allow guests to express themselves to their heart’s content on the walls and windows using crayons provided in the room. In the Atelier Room Deluxe, visitors can climb or lie down on the net stretched from the ceiling and use their entire body to play to their heart’s content.

The opening is December 16. Reservations are scheduled to begin on October 1.
