The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau have announced that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau will begin full-scale implementation of the “Tokyo Metropolitan Tourism Promotion Project” (More Tokyo) on October 20, the same day as the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s nationwide travel support program.
The company has positioned September 1-October 19 as the trial period and October 20-December 20 (including 21-day checkout) as the full implementation period, and travel products will be available after 12:00 p.m. on October 20 for sales from November 1 onward.
Of interest to Tokyo residents is the subsidy amount when used in conjunction with the National Travel Assistance, which is somewhat complicated. First, More Tokyo offers a subsidy of 5,000 yen per night for lodging (6,000 yen per night for those under 18) and 2,500 yen per day trip.
