Naeba Ski Resort is operating its autumn foliage business until November 6. Visitors can enjoy the view of autumn leaves on the “Naeba Dora Gondola,” Japan’s longest gondola at 5481 meters.
From late October to November, the “larch” near the foot of the Naeba Dora gondola (about 900 meters above sea level) is at its best, turning golden in color. Depending on weather conditions, the first snow and autumn leaves can be seen at the same time.
The gondola fare is 3,500 yen for adults and 2,000 yen for elementary school students, including round-trip ticket, Rakuraku Lift, and Naeba-Tashiro connecting bus. Hours of operation are 9:00-16:00 (last admission at 15:00).
