DOT, which plans and operates concept hotels, will hold the grand opening of “BOOK HOTEL Jimbocho” (2-5-13 Kanda Jimbocho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on October 26.
The concept is “a hotel to find ‘my book'”. The hotel aims to make “reading books” the purpose of the trip, not just staying at the hotel.
With the grand opening, the front desk space was expanded to include a bar; on September 1, rooms with private saunas were installed on the top floor; and until November 30, the hotel is collaborating with “Dundadan,” a Shonen Jump+ serial.
On the first floor of the hotel, “BOOK SELECTION” was established as a space that can be used by non-guests. The book-loving staff have selected particularly popular genres from their own perspectives under the themes of “books,” “music,” “food,” “alcoholic beverages,” and “travel. Guests may bring up to three books into their rooms at one time.
At the newly established book bar “ing.” on the first floor, one book selected by the staff will be introduced each day as an “appetizer. The aim is to create a space that serves as a place of output, where people can converse and share their thoughts through books. It is open from 20:00 to 24:00 and closed on Sundays and Mondays. It is open to non-guests as well.
There are 32 guest rooms in total. There are five types: “Standard Double Room,” “Superior Twin Room,” “Relax Twin Room,” “MANGA ART ROOM White Cave,” and “MANGA ART ROOM Black Cave.
