Tokyo Metro will release “Original 24-hour ticket” commemorating the 50th anniversary of the arrival of giant pandas to the park on October 28, 2012. It will be available at some tourist information centers in Tokyo, Tokyo Metro passenger information centers, and the online store “Metro no canned goods ANNEX” in order.
Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the giant panda’s first visit to Japan on October 28, 1972, the ticket allows unlimited rides on all Tokyo Metro lines for one day (24 hours from the start of use when passing through the ticket gate, valid until September 30, 2023).
The product is a set of original 24-hour tickets (three types for adults) and an exclusive mount (limited to 10,000 sets), priced at 1,800 yen. The ticket features an adorable image of “Kang Kang” and “Ran Ran,” who were bred for the first time at the Ueno Zoo, together, and the exclusive mount is designed with photos of successive generations of giant pandas.
