Tokyu Plaza Shibuya (1-2-3 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) will hold “Tokyu Plaza Shibuya Hawaiian Festival” from November 15 to 23.
During the event, there will be workshops using nature-friendly materials, a Made in Hawaii store, a stamp rally to win gifts, and a tour concierge corner. The entire Tokyu Plaza Shibuya will be dyed in Hawaiian colors.
The malama in the event’s theme, “Mālama Hawai’i,” is the Hawaiian word for compassion. Mālama Hawai’i is the slogan for Responsible Tourism, a concept recommended by the Hawai’i Tourism Authority that encourages tourists to take responsibility for their awareness and actions to create a better tourist destination.
Workshops will include making perfume paste in a natural shell case and making jewelry out of microplastic and resin.
