Aichi Prefecture will hold the “Okazaki Yoimairi,” a tour-style illumination event featuring spots associated with Tokugawa Ieyasu.
The main venues for the lighting up are the Okazaki Castle Ote-mon Gate and the Shououji Temple mausoleum. Projection mapping and interactive contents will be used to create a space of light.
In addition, contents that make people want to share on social networking services will be developed, such as rental of “glowing Japanese umbrellas,” decorations of trees along “Jomon-dori,” the street connecting Otemon Gate and Shoei-ji Temple, and the installation of a photo spot. A “Machi Baru” (bar) event will also be held by eight restaurants in the area.
The “Yoimairi Map” will be distributed on Saturdays and Sundays from November 26 to December 31, Okazaki Castle Otemon from November 26 to January 3, 2023, Jōmon Street from November 26 to December 31, and Shōō-ōji from November 26 to December 31. The rental of glowing Japanese umbrellas will be available from November 26 to December 25.
