Walt Disney Japan will release a series of anniversary items starting November 22 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Disney Store Shibuya Koen-dori and the one-year anniversary of the opening of the Disney Flagship Tokyo.
The lineup includes items featuring original artwork of Mickey & Friends celebrating as a marching band, using the store’s symbolic “Fantasy Gate” as a motif. The characters playing the music and the Fantasy Gate window and clock motifs are incorporated into the blocky design. The lineup includes collectible keys that resemble the keys needed to open the store, plush toys with anniversary logo prints, as well as stationery, sundries, and even fashion items.
In addition, “TSUM TSUM” will also feature anniversary-spec plush toys in marching band costumes. The made-to-order series “D-Made” will also feature commemorative art.
In addition, there will be events and gift campaigns to celebrate the anniversary.
