On November 22, FamilyMart will release “Convenience Down” as a new product under its original “Convenience Wear” brand, limited to about 90 stores in Tokyo. The price is 6,990 yen.
In an attempt to develop not only the conventional emergency demand for clothes at convenience stores, outer jackets for use in the chilly season will be sold exclusively at some stores. The fabric uses Komatsu Matere’s super-durable water-repellent material “Dantotsu Water Repellent” to achieve excellent water repellency and water resistance specifications.
From an animal welfare perspective, waterfowl feathers are not used for the padding. Instead, AIR FLAKE, a material whose feather shape was researched and developed using sustainable recycled polyester “RENU,” is used. The bulkiness of the padding is indicated by a value of 730 fill power, which provides warmth retention.
Washing can be done by hand at home.
