The Sky Deck, the rooftop observation deck at Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, will hold a “Geminids Meteor Shower Viewing Party” on December 14 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The fee is admission to the 52nd or 53rd floor plus admission to the Sky Deck (¥500 for adults, ¥300 for junior high school students from 4 years old to junior high school students). If you have a ticket for either Mori Art Museum, Tokyo City View, or Mori Arts Center Gallery, or if you use THE SUN & THE MOON, you can enter the Sky Deck only with the Sky Deck admission fee.
The Geminids meteor shower is one of the three major meteor showers along with the Camelopardalis meteor shower (January) and the Perseids meteor shower (August). Compared to the other two meteor showers, the Geminids meteor shower is more stable and numerous, and in 2022 it will peak around 10:00 p.m., when it is easier to watch.
On the day of the viewing event, staff members familiar with the starry sky and the universe will explain about the Geminids meteor shower and its origins.
